Jim graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 2004 where he was a four year starter on the Braves Varsity Hockey team.  He finished his career 10th all time in scoring serving as team Captain twice and garnering MVP honors his senior year.  He would continue his hockey career into college playing four years for the Niagara University ACHA D1 team where he would graduate Summa Cum Laude.

Upon completing his undergraduate degree Jim would stay at Niagara to complete his MBA on a full scholarship while assistant coaching with the ACHA Hockey team for two years. while coaching Jim focused on special teams and recruiting.  After Graduate School Jim would move back to the Canandaigua area where he has been coaching youth hockey since 2012.  Jim currently resides in Farmington with his wife Kaylee and sons Hudson (8) and Bennett (6).
